PLEASE FORWARD WIDELY From Peace Direct (Publishers of "Insight on Conflict" peacemaking magazine): Are You a Peacebuilder? Apply to Win Our New Competition Are you a peacebuilder? Do you need some support to help you grow your impact and your organisation? If you meet our entry criteria, you can now apply to win our new competition ‘Tomorrow’s Peacebuilders’. A new global competition launches this week to find the peacebuilders of the future. The ‘Tomorrow’s Peacebuilders’ competition aims to find and fund the best grassroots peacebuilding organisations in conflict zones worldwide. The competition is open to any peacebuilding organisation that is led by local people. The four winners of the competition will receive: • $4,000 funding. • The opportunity to attend a Peace Direct peacebuilder conference or an international learning visit to another peacebuilding organisation. • Online promotion of their work. The competition winners will be announced on the International Day of Peace, September 21. They will be decided by a jury of peacebuilding experts, including local peacebuilders who have started their own organisations from scratch. Entrants will need to show how their work is making their communities more peaceful, or stopping the cycle of violence. Competition entries open on June 20 and close on 9 August.
