PLEASE HELP ME ON THIS ADDITION PROBLEM, MY MATHEMATICS TEACHER DIED VERY EARLY. I went to a shop to buy a shoe priced $100. I didnt have even a cent so I borrowed $100 from my dad and mom($50 from each). At the shop, I was given a discount of 3% ($3) so I paid $97 saving $3. I decided to reduce my debt by given back to my parents $1 each (total of $2) and still used the remaining $1 for ice cream for my girl friend. I now owe my parents $49 each (total of $98). Accounting for the money, I realized that. $98 ( current total debt) + $1 (amount spend on ice cream) = $99. one dollar ($1) short of the original $100 borrowed. Where is the missing $1
