PLEASE READ THIS if you are a market manager, or sell at a regional farmers market. (And if you know someone who is, please pass the word): Several incidents of counterfeit money being used a farmers markets through the Mid-Atlantic and into the Northeast are bring reported by managers. These are credible reports. The counterfeit bills that the vendors received were bleached five dollar bills, reprinted to look like one hundred dollar bills. That meant the water marks were intact and they could pass the pen test, so it was very difficult for vendors to detect even if they were being vigilant.
