PLEASE SHARE THIS IT IS EXTREMELY URGENT DOG ABANDONED! I need help Orlando friends-what I want for my birthday is a home for Numa, thats her real name. She was left in a kennel for almost 2 weeks no access to food or water in an apartment sitting in her own feces. This kid who left her there is under 20, some girl my daughter knew, who went on an extended vacation with a new boyfriend, and left this poor puppy to fend for herself. When my kid went to check on her after not hearing back from this girl, she found a severely emaciated puppy who was confined to a kennel in a hot apartment and no way to escape, She had contacted a neighbor whom assured her they would look out and feed NUMA and then the girl went MIA, not taking care of the dog as promised and not even feeding her as her owner left her with no food in the house to give her. Weve had almost 100F weather lately-can you imagine her desperation and starvation/dehydration? She had had no food/water or walks in a week! I am desperate to get her places FAST. Ivy fed her and continued her efforts to contact the owner and I started calling in reports and trying to find a way to get her out of this neglect. Numa is a purebred AKC white German shepherd, under a year old, she has a sweet nature and only has till this Monday 6/30/2014. She was finally surrendered possibly by a neighbor who anonymously turned her her in early morning of 6/24/14. under an assumed name *posing as the owner, I went through calling animal rescue like 10 times and two reports, Because the law uselessly shuffles around time sensitive severe abuse cases such as these, claiming no victim with the tenant/owner out of town or largely absent. Yes, they left without doing anything and closed out the case, I was frantic to know her whereabouts today, I had to repeatedly call 911 several times reporting it as criminal activity and looting, over and over to get any action and in the hopes someone would discover her trapped in the kennel-the apartment was actually being looted,, it had also been ransacked and assorted squatters were inhabiting it, who knows what hell she endured at the hands of strangers? And with all this, it took an unknown person to take pity on her and turn her in, but not at all by the efforts of Orlando PD animal cruelty investigators, or Orange county animal controlss abuse line-Numa had no advocates here-no one protecting her right to live a happy and cruelty free life at all. I have been on this one person mission since last Thursday and after all this work and follow up and effort to save her life-euthanasia and her short life spent in abject neglect and malnourishment cannot be her outcome.I am begging anyone who can give this beautiful girl a forever home to PLEASE SHARE THIS POST AND CONTACT ME I WILL MEET YOU THERE THIS WEEKEND SO WE CAN GET HER OUT OF HARMS WAY! Numa needs a caring forever home that will nurse her back to great health.Responsible owners who can take her to the vet, show her love and give her the life she is meant to have. She is a gorgeous and trusting little soul. My birthday is tomorrow, and this is the best gift you can give us both.
