PNM can learn much from PM Saturday, January 3 2015 THE EDITOR: A NACTA poll conducted earlier this month once again had Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar ahead of the rest. The poll showed that the PM was considered a greater uniter of people than Opposition Leader Dr Keith Rowley and I have to say I’m not the least bit surprised. The results showed that less people of East Indian origin were surveyed than of other races. So clearly it’s not a bias by “her people”. Persad-Bissessar always has a smile and has a natural warmth about her. Even if you never met her in person, you can see still she sends out positive energy and good vibes. She is genuinely caring and anyone that thinks otherwise clearly has a chip on their shoulder. Persad-Bissessar continues to be a trailblazer as the first female Prime Minister of TT and has set the standard for what excellent leadership is. She and her Government have done so much for us all; like improving infrastructure, having more social programmes and helping so many citizens with education and healthcare. I feel proud and safe knowing someone like her is watching over the country. As a young woman, I continue to be encouraged by her smart and brave decisions that help all. Rowley and his PNM team can learn so much from the PM’s humility and generosity. The PNM continues to talk about change and moving forward, but all I see is Rowley angrily blaming the Government for any and everything. He needs to relax and chill a bit. Maybe it’s time the PNM stops treating everything like a war, the citizens don’t need any more anger. What we need is exactly what the Prime Minister continues to give in abundance: great leadership and love. Breanna Lewis via email
