POETRY: THE NOVEL ****AMAZON REVIEW**** This book is a very interesting but GREAT read!! I like the story behind it, the trials that Tyrell endured throughout, were very relatable! Its something that most people can relate to their everyday lives! I recommend this book for any.and everybody to read!! Looking forward to more work from the author/writer/poet!!! #Salute - Dedrick Sanders --------- New excerpt from POETRY: The Novel 🔥 Hello?” “You ready to make this money?” I answered, voice still raspy from sleep, Hell yeah. I been –” Spook cut me off, ordering, “A’ight, make yo’ way ova here, fam. We waitin’ on you.” “A’ight.” The clock read 6:45a.m. I got up and threw on some sweats and a hoodie. I knew my mom and pop would be up and movin’ around the house by now. I stood at the bottom of the stairs, wiping sleep out of my eyes, struggling to hear if anybody was moving around upstairs. I heard the TV going, so I knew my dad was probably down there chillin’ and drinkin’ his coffee. I started easin’ my way up the stairs, one foot on each side. I heard footsteps walking down the hall towards the kitchen and I froze. “Honey, can you come up here real quick?” “Yeah, baby. Here I come.” It was my mom calling my dad upstairs. I remained still until I heard the footsteps walk back across the hallway, then, I crept up the stairs and made my way to the bathroom. I grabbed my face towel and toothbrush, walked out of the bathroom and turned to my right. Pooter stood in the hallway; his wide brown eyes connected with mine and I froze. He may as well have been Mama. I stood there, waiting for him to ask me where I was going, but he didn’t say anything. A tear rolled down his cheek as I quietly closed the back door behind me. I walked to my car with my mind replaying a dream I’d had where I had killed Pooter. I still didn’t understand it. The only thing I understood was that I needed money.
