A suggestion to the beautiful and fearless #webseries creators out there: PLEASE KEEP IT SIMPLE, to avoid missing the mark in execution (sound, lighting, cinematography, etc). I only say this because Ive seen a lot of web series of late with amazing ideas & fantastic potential, rendered hard to watch (sometimes impossible to watch) because of technical stuff. And thats not fair to you as a creative artist. Instead of putting your characters out on busy streets, or in parks, or in cars, leave them in controlled spaces (rooms, houses, etc.) to maximize potential sound. Especially if youre working with limited sound equipment. Instead of elaborate shots and setups, perhaps focus more on story, and drive that point home the simplest and most efficient way. On the flip side...I know that web series can be awesome training grounds, so by all means, take risks! Please take risks!! But just know folks have to watch your creation. I do love the amazing amount of work being produced in web series format, though. Seeing artists take control of their narratives is RAD, and so damn inspiring! Ok, thats all. /mini rant. Lol. Love yall! Truly.
