PORTUGAL W.C 23 MAN SQUAD ANNOUNCED Portugal national coach, Paul Bento, has already cut down his provisional World Cup squad from 30 to 23 players. The Portugal squad is led by superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, experienced defender Pepe and and creative midfielder Joao Moutinho. The players who won’t be on the plane to Brazil are: Ricardo Quaresma (Porto), Antunes (Malaga), Rolando (Porto/Inter – loan), Andre Gomes (Benfica), Joao Mario (Vitoria) and Ivan Cavaleiro (Benfica). Here the full Portugal squad, which will represent their country at the World Cup: Goalkeepers: Beto (Sevilla), Eduardo (Braga) and Rui Patricio (Sporting Lisbon). Defenders: Andre Almeida (Benfica), Bruno Alves (Fenerbahce), Fabio Coentrao (Real Madrid), Joao Pereira (Valencia), Neto (Zenit St Petersburg), Pepe (Real Madrid), Ricardo Costa (Valencia).
