TEXT: MATTHEW 25:25 & 26-30 … And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine… Oftentimes, we are confronted with decisions that can be likened to ‘make or mar decisions’ and we are torn between taking a decision or shying away from it by retreating, out of fear of failure or disappointments. Every moment of our lives, we are confronted with decisions that would shape the direction of our very life, business and career; but most times, we are overwhelmed by the fear of failure. Rather than take a decision, we withdraw from the reality. No wonder, we always hear the saying; a bird at hand is worth more than thousands in the bush. The saying is only acceptable to the cowards and lily-livered. To move forward in life; experience a major breakthrough; become successful or attain any great heights in life is a pre-condition- DECISION. Why then do we run away from this simple 8 –letter word! God wanted to win back millions of humanity and He faced the reality by confronting the fear of losing His only begotten son; He gave him up as a sacrifice and today, thousands of years after, millions of souls are still accepting this divine gift John 3:16. The widow of the Prophet would have died in her poverty but for the decision she took to offer her LAST MEAL! The rest is history as she and her only son got the blessing that was beyond them 1 Kings 17:7-16. As you are confronted with daunting decisions this new week, be prepared to face them head on! Eat that frog! Confront that challenge! Whenever the fear of failure knocks at the door of your heart, answer with faith and TAKE THAT DECISION! Happy New Wek. Bro.
