POWERFUL TRUTH TO LIVE BY ! --- ITS THE KIND OF WALK THAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE David had understanding of what happens in the spirit realm when he responded rightly to God when mistreated. He committed the issue into God’s hands instead of taking revenge in his own hands (Ps. 31:5, 15). He put the situation into God’s hands. He was invoking the intervention of God into his circumstances to vindicate him, to intervene and help him. In I Sam. 24:7, when David restrained his men from killing Saul, in essence he was saying, “I have committed Saul into God’s hands. I will not personally pay him back for mistreating me.” David really believed this truth. This was not a casual truth that David only thought about occasionally. He was deeply invested in this truth because it was an act of devotion and also an act of spiritual warfare. He knew how God’s activity would increase in his life if he responded in a certain way.--Mike Bickle
