PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING… I hate going to Wal-Mart to do my shopping unless they have a bounty of ‘Sparkling Green Tea’ in stock then I will fight through the sticky floors and clothes on the floor. Tonight, there was a lady with several kids in line who decided she wanted to trade in a carton of milk while at the checkout stand in order to get another for a better price. There were only 500 people standing in line back of her. I complained under my breath, ‘O man a nickel holding up a dollar!” To make matters worse she didn’t have enough to cover her bill. Beloved, sometimes scripture memory and the obedience to God are twin sisters. When that happens X marks the spot and you are standing on top of the X. She went away murmuring and praising God and talking about how she was going to give the testimony of God providing to her church. It was just as 2Cor 9:11 predicted. I knew I shouldn’t have memorized that verse. I think on my next trip I might circle around Wal-Mart and raid the nearest 7-11. Christian, you just never know when God is going to hit you on the backside with his word, but rest assured if it includes giving to the brethren and sisters there will be praise and thanksgiving just as he promised. The promises of God are for the people of God. Selah!
