PRAYER- But you, when you pray, enter into your closet, and when - TopicsExpress

PRAYER- But you, when you pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut is in secret; and your Father which sees in secret; shall reward you openly. Matthew 6:6 Do you pray ? Do you pry everyday ? is that necessary, you ask. Can God expect that ? Does the Bible really say that we should pray everyday ? My friend, deep within your own heart do you not think that it is a little strange that you do not pray, that you o not speak with your Creator and Father ? You work and rest, sleep and eat, talk and write, read and listen, but never think of speaking with God. Never a thought of thanking Him ! Never a thought of hearing what His mind and will is with respect to your life ! Do you not think that this strange ? And have you never asked yourself what the reason might be that you refuse to speak with God ? You do not believe in God perhaps ? Then the matter is clear. However, most people do believe in God. Many are even very orthodox and alarmed at all the doubt, blasphemy, and denial of Christ which they hear. This is good and well. But Jesus speaks today about praying. Why do you not pray when you believe that there is God? Jesus speaks here of the inner chamber. Do you go into your room to pray everyday ? Why do you not do it ? Now, what Jesus have been wanting to tell you today is this: You do not love God. That is why you do not pray. He love you. But you do not understand. You are afraid of Him when you feel that He is very near you. And you are indiferent toward Him when He is far away. You annot change your God- estranged heart. But He can. Will you admit Him into Your heart today and let Him perform the miracle ? Prayer Father, today I call you by Your name and humble myself to seek Your face and turn my life to You, to hear me from Heaven to forgive my ways, that You may perform the great things of Your miracle for my life. In Jesus Name, Amen.
