PRAYER REQUEST—WILT THOU BE MADE WHOLE? I am writing this on the behalf of my wife, Penny. Our son, Jason, needs everyone’s prayers. For those who do not know him Jason is a special needs child. I call him ‘child’ but he is actually 34-years old but his mind did not develop like his body has. Jason has a special gift in that he has a long-term memory probably bordering on that of a genius. He cannot forget anything. He can tell you every toy he has had since he was first old enough to start remembering and describe them down to the smallest detail. He can also tell you the color of every pickup truck I have ever owned and what he was doing when I had each of them. He can describe things that I cannot even remember now. But along with his memory being a blessing it is also a curse. He cannot forget things that he wishes he could forget. Sometimes I wonder if he has a photographic memory and that is the reason there are certain events he cannot erase from his mind. Several years ago, probably getting close to 10-years now, he worked at a Yusa automotive plant that used special needs children to do small tasks such as keeping the tables clean in the break areas. Such was Jason’s job. One night he was in need of more cleaning rags to wipe the tables off and he went into a room he was forbidden to enter because it was a conference room and a meeting was in progress. Jason was escorted out of the room and told he knew he was not to go into the conference room—especially when they were having a meeting. Because of this Jason lost his job and it still haunts him today. Many times he will say, “All I wanted was some more rags to wipe the tables off.” Time will not erase this incident from his memory and he still feels guilty. He has carried this burden for almost 10-years. It has gotten to the point it is wrecking his nerves and it is all he talks about. I know what the power of combined prayer can do. We have tried everything we know and it is time for God to intervene. We will appreciate your prayers.
