Those who made themselves stumbling blocks (Those who stopped your helpers). 6. Those who change wages (Blessings and Destinies) Gen31; 36-42 7. Those who still Pursue you Gen 31; 36 8. Pray to send back what the devil gave in exchange of your destiny BIBLE STUDIES AND SERMONS FOR THE FASTING AND PRAYERS. DAY 1 TAKING BACK YOUR DESTINY Intro; What is destiny? Is what may happen in future. Man was created to the glory of God, and he’s born with a star but the truth is that, when the devil sees the star of a new born baby, he tries to take away the destiny given by God and replaces it with evil thing. The destiny (future) of a child may be taken during the time of his birth, or after his birth. The midwife or any other person can take away the destiny of the child. Remember how Herod sought to kill and destroy the child Jesus Matt 2; 3, 7-8, 13 The second way of destroying destiny (future) is the ‘Ancestral Curses and the Familiar Curses Lam 5; 7 Thirdly, ‘Sins Committed by our Forefathers and were cursed 1Sam 2; 29-33, and 2Kgs 5; 24-27. The fourth one is the ‘Tongue’ Jam 3; 6-9. Whoever has cursed you, either physically or spiritually even from your infancy must be destroyed 1Chron 4; 9-10. According to Isa 43; 4-7 God says, I will say to the north ‘Give Up’, and to the south ‘Keep not Back’. Therefore, pray to take back your destiny and retrieve all your blessings with faith and the word. According to Gen 15; 18, the land of Canaan was given to the ancestors of Abraham even at the time they had not been born. When the time was fulfilled for them to take the land, they were delaying and Joshua said to them, ‘How long will you be slack to go to possess the land? Jos 18; 1-3. The land that God gave to you before your birth, even before you became a nation. Beloved, we are not going to be slack to take back our destiny, rather we are going to take it by force. Matt 11; 12 says, ‘The violent take it by force’. Therefore, rise up and take it by force, though they are strong, you can take it Jos 17; 17-18. 1. With fasting and prayers we can make it 2. With strong determination we can take it 3. With faith and the word of God DAY 3. TAKING BACK YOUR DESTINY THROUGH SACRIFICE Intro; A Christian who doesn’t know how to give, or how to support the work of God or how to offer sacrifice to the Lord, shall remain the same in his finance and shall see no progress in his life. Sacrifice is part of worshipping the Lord. It was through sacrifice that Abraham and his descendants were blessed. According to Gen 15; 6-18, when Abraham asked God ‘What will be my surety? God told him to sacrifice Vs 8-9. David also said this when he was pursuing by Saul 1Sam 26; 18-20. Therefore beloved, - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 1. Sacrifice will allow you to make covenant with God 2. It will let God tells you your future, or how your future will be 3. It will save your life in many ways 4. And it will grant to you what your heart desire 5. It is an evidence that will help you to take back your destiny DAY 4 THIS VERY SAME DAY OF THE SACRIFICE Intro; Not all men that come to the Lord believe all what He says, and all what He does. Some people think there are things that God can do. According to 2Kgs 7; 1-2, when Elisha prophesied that ‘Tomorrow about this time a measure of fine flour will sell for a shekel and two measures of barley for a shekel in the gate of Samaria’. Then the Captain on whose hand the King leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, could this thing be? But Elisha said, you shall see it with your own eyes, but you shall not eat of it’. This means that there are always some people who do not believe whatever the Bible says, for they take the word of God as mere message. Again there are always people who not only they don’t believe, but rather discourage others who believe the word of God 2Kgs 7; 11-18. Gen 15; 17-18 says, ‘On the same day Abraham sacrificed to the Lord, the Lord made covenant with Abraham, saying, to your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river Euphrates. Beloved, this very same day of your sacrifice to the Lord, - - - - - - - - - - 1. God has made covenant with you. 2. He has bestowed upon you your blessings (the best of the land). 3. And your destiny has been restored to you. Remember, Adam and his wife was living in the Garden of Eden where this river Euphrates locates and because of their disobedience, God sent them out from there. Now this place was given to the descendants of Abraham because of the sacrifice he offered to the Lord.
