PREACH TO YOURSELF ! It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God. There are times in each of our lives when we find ourselves faced with tough decisions and great opposition. Its not that you are a bad person, but as you proceed in life you eventually experience trouble, heartaches and pains. Job declares ”Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble (Job 14:1).” Have you ever experienced times in your life when it felt as if everything and everyone was fighting against you? No matter how hard you tried, it felt as if you had an extreme weight upon your shoulder. It felt as if something or someone was trying to keep you down. Have you ever experienced a lonely season? This is a season where no one appears to understand you or your faith. Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you. Do you realize there are many people who live there lives hoping and craving the approval of their peers? They define their success on the words of man and not the affirmation of God. No matter what you experience in life, you must be able to minister to yourself. You must be able to encourage yourself. You must be able to remind yourself that God has not brought you this far to allow things to fall apart. My friend, Preach To Yourself! The Bible declares in 1 Samuel 30:6 - And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God. During the rough times of life, you must be able to preach back to yourself. My brother, my sister, what are you currently going through? What dilemma do you find yourself in the midst of? What circumstance or situation are you battling with? The same way you preach to others, now you must preach to yourself. The same way you tell others to trust in the Lord, now it is time for you to repeat it to yourself. Now it is time for you to walk out what you have been speaking out. Beloved, Preach To Yourself! The Bible declares in Psalms 124:1-3 - If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say; 2 If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us: 3 Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us: No matter how bad things appear right now, God has placed power within you to overcome whatever it is.
