PREPARING AND CROSSING THE RED SEA (2014) Most of us may not have - TopicsExpress

PREPARING AND CROSSING THE RED SEA (2014) Most of us may not have achieved all our objectives during this year (2014) but there is plan from the Lord to cross us to our promised land (2015). The fact that certain things did not fall in place will not stop the Lord from keeping to His promise. Before the children of Israel embarked on their journey to their promised land, the Lord told them to mark their door posts with the blood of a lamb (Exodus 12:3-7). In our case, we’ll use the blood of the Lamb of God; Jesus Christ (John 1:29). We need to do this because before we set off; ‘For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you (Exodus 12:23).’ There will be many deaths and we must protect ourselves so that the spirit of death will not come close to our camps. Where will you get the blood of Jesus you may ask? Any liquid (water or anointing oil) will do as long as you apply it with faith. You may even apply Galatians 6:17. As we set off to cross the red sea, the Egyptians (sicknesses, pains, poverty, sorrows etc) will be pursuing us but let us focus on the Lord our Redeemer to take you to the bank of the red sea. I am not promising you that getting to the red sea will be easy but the Lord our God will take us there through His grace. Let the joy of the Lord fill your heart; ignore what is happening around you. If you can, keep on singing. “I will sing unto the Lord a joyful song; I will praise His name for my Lord is good.” The enemy hates it when we praise the Lord so lets keep on singing as we journey on. By December 31st, we will be facing the red sea. Let us bear in mind how crossing was made possible; ‘And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever (Exodus 14:13).’ Those unresolved issues must not steal your inner peace or joy because the Lord has a plan to set you free as soon as you cross over. Have you ever stopped to think about the Banner of the Lord? ‘He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love (Song of Solomon 2:4).’ This His love coupled with grace must be our watch words. He died in our place and reconciled us back to God so nothing is too much for Him to do. Have you made plans as to what you’ll do as soon as you cross? Remember that God instructed the children of Israel to borrow things from the Egyptians before they left Egypt (Exodus 3:22, 11:2, & 12:35). You must be fully prepared and ready for a new life because a lot of goodies are waiting for you. After we’ve crossed, we’ll look at what we must do to reap the full benefit of the Lord’s promises. For now, count your blessings and see how much the Lord has done for you. That you are alive today is a miracle. PRAYER POINT: Lord as I am about to cross the red sea, let all those things that represent the Egyptians in my life and the lives of my family be drowned in Jesus name. I also pray that you’ll path the red sea for the friends and well wishers of the author of this mail. Let all of us be like trees planted by the river side which You water daily in Jesus name.
