PRESS NOTE The Hon’ble Third Metropolitan Magistrate Sri B.Chengalaraya Nayudu convicted (28) persons for a period of ( 3 ) days imprisonments each for drunken driving. The Enforcement against Drunk Driving was carried out over the last weekend i.e. on 8th & 9th November 2013. A total of 328 cases were booked against Drunk Drivers. Break up is: 2 Wheelers - 251 3 Wheelers - 24 4 Wheelers - 46 Others - 7 -------- Total - 328 -------- The respondents were produced before the Hon’ble Third Metropolitan Magistrate Court and fine Rs.2,600/- was imposed. From 1st January, 2013 to 9th November, 2013 total 11,103 cases have been registered and total imprisonments are 970 as on date. Addl.Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Hyderabad.
