PRESS RELEASE Karting EUPEN inaugurating its new installations during the weekend of 19th, 20th & 21 September No point in beating about the bush; Karting EUPEN is amongst one of the most appreciated indoor karting tracks …in the entire world! Providing a perfect forum for numerous indoor races, the circuit located in the eastern part of the country, in the heart of Eupen, has since its official opening some 10 years ago given the opportunity to thousands of drivers of all ages to discover the pleasures of indoor rental karting. “The building that we presently occupy, we actually rent which is not an advantage, Evelien Bonneux, the person in charge of the Karting EUPEN, explains. We had the opportunity of acquiring another building, bigger and located some hundred metres further down the same street. And in fact in order to retain one’s clients trust it is essential to rejuvenate at least every 10 years.” This implies that in the coming days Karting EUPEN will officially be revealing its new installations. “The building has been converted and fitted out based on the experience we have acquired in this field over the last 18 years, Evelien Bonneux continued. We started the building work some 12 months ago. And everything will be ready for the official opening on Friday 19th September at 19.00hrs, as also the ‘Opening Days’ that will follow on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21 September.” With a surface area of 10,000 metres², as compared to 8,000 previously, the new Karting EUPEN offers a 1,100 metres long track, 10% longer than the previous one, but also 10% wider … “With the development of this new circuit it will allow us to welcome 32 karts simultaneously, which in fact constitutes an exclusivity when it comes to indoor circuits, Evelien Bonneux emphasized. And the chassis will all be brand new, as is the case every year in September, and we remain faithful to the Sodi make. We will also be offering two-seater karts, whose success is already guaranteed!” Over and above the purely technical aspect, Karting EUPEN vintage 2014 is bringing rental karting up to a never attained level. In a nutshell: they are up with the times! Vast lobby, reception, bistro with a terrace, multi purpose halls, changing rooms, toilets, a workshop, but also by the end of the year a shop offering all the vital accessories essential for kart drivers, and in addition the Alpine Star sportswear range. So it goes without saying that one can expect nothing but the best. “ The karting rental that we offer is experiencing an enormous success, the person in charge continued. Our clientele is comprised of Belgians, obviously, but also Germans, up to 50%, as also the Dutch! When it comes to companies these have over the years been enamoured by our team-building solutions, which involves renowned drivers milling around and turning into coaches. Even individuals who have no real interest in mechanical sports take a great delight in this, feeling themselves quite at home in their new environment. We obviously intend to carry on in this vein with our new installations…. In fact it is thanks to the loyalty of our clients over the years that we have been able to realise this project of a brand new circuit. Hence the reason that we want to celebrate the inauguration of our new building in their midst …” All the regulars as also others are therefore welcome on Friday 19th September for the official opening. On the entertainment front, first and foremost there will be the ‘All Star Race’ with renowned drivers. The following have already confirmed their presence; Robin Frijns, Frédéric Vervisch, Angélique De Tavernier, Jean-Pierre Van de Wauwer and Bernard Munster, but many more will follow … Following that 100 persons will have the opportunity to take to the track for an initial lap of this new circuit. This will be on an exclusive paying basis access…however all the monies collected will be integrally donated to a good cause. The perfect way of combining business with pleasure. As for the ‘Opening Days’ on 20th and 21st September, these will be filled with loads of entertainment and activities for both young and old, allowing one and all to discover Karting EUPEN’s new image.
