PRESS RELEASE “UPDATE” DECEMBER 30, 2014 The Starkville Police Department has continued its Investigation into the “Emergency 911 Call of Shots Being Fired” at 200 Hartness Street in Starkville, MS resulting in the December 29th arrest of Derrick Devante Young on Two Counts of Aggravated Assault and Attempted Arson. Further Investigation into the incident led to the arrest of 28 year old Anthony Phillip Nicastro and 24 year old Shanika Alexandria Clayton. Nicastro was arrested December 29th and charged with Two Counts of Aggravated Assault and Attempted Arson. Clayton was arrested December 29th and charged with Two Counts of Aggravated Assault and Attempted Arson. Both were processed and Nicastro was transported to the Oktibbeha County Jail and Clayton was transported to the Lowndes County Detention Center to await their Initial Appearance in Justice Court on Tuesday, December 30th. Derrick Devante Young appeared before Municipal Court and his bond was set at $600,000. Anthony Phillip Nicastro appeared before Justice Court and his bond was set at $600,000. Shanika Alexandria Clayton appeared before Justice Court and her bond was set at $300,000.
