PRIVATE MESSAGE ------------------------ Hi just wanted a bit of advice. I am a first time stafford owner and have asked around for advice but keep getting told to smack him and i have to be harsh with him. I have a 9 month old male stafford. He is so loving and soft but has become increasingly stubborn as he has gotten older. He keeps chewing my couch and when i put him into timeout he goes straight back and does it again when he comes out. He also ran away from me the other day and would not come back, it took me 15mins of waving sausage around to get him. Just wondered is this normal for his age and to carry on with timeout and positive reinforcement or is there a problem that needs sorting out. Thank you
