PUBLIC OPEN LETTER FROM THE SOUL: To be labeled and seen as a traitor is one of the hardest things to deal with. Its even harder when you are being labeled and seen as a traitor to your race. These past couple of months have been some of the hardest months that I have had to endure. Day after day I am accused of siding with the enemy, support those who dont care a about the black race and other foolishness. But day after day I also see brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, put on the uniform and go out on patrol not knowing if they will come home that day. I have also seen the family of these brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, who have lost their family members to no other reason that they wear a badge. I see and hear what the media doesnt care to share. I see and know of officers getting disciplined, get their ass handed to them by their Sgts and Lts. It happens. I see and hear parts of stories that the media will never know. I stand beside these men and women and I support them. It just hurts like hell to have people call ME a traitor because I know the humans behind the badge. It hurts like hell to call ME a traitor because I support those that give up their Thanksgiving dinners and patrol the streets to make sure YOU have a safe one. Now I cant sit here and type that there are no bad apples. In life and in every profession, you will have good and bad. But what I can tell you is that the ones I know wake up, go to work finish and go home. Like one officer said, do you really think after taking hours to shine their shoes, press their uniforms, etc, that they go into work wanting to fight or get into a shooting. I love my African American people and just how I dont want people to classify and stereotype me based off others, I dont condone people classifying all officers as bad based off a few. I will defend the line. I will defend the humans behind the badge. I dont know what else to say so I will end it here.
