Apil ta sa libo-libong diskusyon; mao gud niy specialty natong mga Pinoys…rhetoric. (What’s that? Rhetoric means persuasive speech or writing.) Haaay! Both camps sa BIR & kay Manny puro strong sa ilang puntos. Niay pod koy mga puntos sa lahi pod nga panglantaw ha… Magbantay jud si Manny kay invisible man gud iyang ka-“boxing” karon. Proof? “For we do not wrestle against FLESH AND BLOOD but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”Ephesians 6:12. Simply put, Satan & his demons iyang kontra. Gipasabong-sabong ta tanan sa devil aron malibakan ta sa watching world & above all, maulawan ang Name ni Jesus. Why? If Manny were an ordinary person, i-feature kaha sa media ang iyang new faith in God? Slim chances. How Manny will handle this “BIR garnishment” will reflect how far na ang iyang naabot sa iyang Christian life. (Before ta mopadayon sa unahan, may I say nga karon pa jud tawon ko kabalo nga naa diay financial term nga “garnishment”. Honest, abi kog pagkaon ray naay garnishments, hahaha!) Pero luoy pod tawon si Manny. Kinsa man gud sa ato ang maayong laki nga mohamtong dayon sa atong pagtuo sa Ginoo? Manny’s defeats in the recent past ug kini karon nga trials niya parte sa pag-process ni God sa iya. In case sayop siya, let’s pray he’ll be humble enough to rectify his mistake. If ang BIR pod ang sayop, let’s pray nga dili na lang ta mamikat. Palangga baya ni Hesus ang tax collectors. Remember Zacchaeus in Luke 19? Gi-save jud sya ni Hesus sa iyang mga sala. Huh! Wala man kay klaro, my friend oi. Prangka, kang kinsa ka dapig- sa BIR o kay Manny? Wala sa duha oi kay ingon gud si God nga we should love one another. Have u noticed? Giuyog sa Ginoo ang Philippines karon. Klase2x na lang gud nga trahedya ug mga expose. Part ni sa pag-purify Niya sa atong nasod. Kadumdum na lang hinuon ko, 15 years ago, when I was “fighting” cancer, my brod-in-law said, “Ate, parte ni sa pag-purify ni God sa imo.” Nahimut-okan ko, speechless ko…but my mind shrieked, “Pag-purify?? Unsa man tawoy akong big sins that I have to suffer the big ‘C’?” How naïve I was then! I discovered nga gi-husay diay ko ni God sa nakatagong UNFORGIVENESS deep down in my heart. Nakig-“boxing” ko ni God coz dili ko gusto mo-forgive until na-“knock down” ko and mi-hands up sa Ginoo! Going back ni Manny & the BIR, puede “maki-sawsaw” ta sa gulo by praying for them? I think God allowed this “threat” sa money & properties ni Manny para ma-feel niyang nia jud diay sya sa kalibotan and these are just material things. Hmmm, gisulti na baya na niya sa iyang TV interview. Korek! “ I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men” I Timothy 2:1. Apil na ani ang Team Pacquiao ug BIR… (P.S.
