Paqtnkek take notice! This just came into my email and the deadline is TODAY for youth under 35. As you may know, from August 12th to 30th we will be running a three-week certificate course focused at North American youth, called Skills for Social Change (see poster below and this webpage - coady.stfx.ca/education/certificates/Skills_for_Social_Change/). Although general applications have closed, we have some very generous scholarship funding that has become available specifically for Aboriginal Canadians aged 19-35 and for 19-20 year-old Nova Scotians to attend this course. This funding will heavily subsidise the costs associated with this course and there is a chance that it may even entirely cover all course costs for successful candidates (including accommodation and meals on campus, but not travel to and from Antigonish). As the course begins in less than a month (August 12th), prospective candidates must act quickly to apply for a position. We have therefore given an application deadline of next Friday, July 26th.
