Parents, Players and Fans, On behalf of the coaching staff, I would first like to thank you all, for the outstanding showing at Kiwanis Field, Friday night. We were told that it was the largest visiting crowd in Laporte history. The support certainly motivated the team to perform at their very best. But we cant stop there, this week we welcome the Mishawaka Marian Knights to Amzie Miller field. The Knights are currently ranked # 2 in the IFCA Coaches poll in 3 A. This game has been chosen to be the "Game of the Week" and will be televised by TV 46. I can assure you that the boys will be VERY focused this week, as we implement our game plan. Our request to you is that we begin to paint our communities BLUE and GOLD!! Fill our stadium to capacity, and cheer louder then ever. The New Prairie Touchdown Club will be hosting a hog roast during their tailgate party, come out and enjoy that. For those that missed our pre-game warm-up Friday night, it is something to see. Lastly, I would like to thank everyone for supporting our TDC fundraising efforts this year. The results of their efforts were unveiled Friday night when the Cougars wore their brand new away uniforms. Hopefully everyone liked them as much as the players do. The purpose of the TDC is to support the players and the coaches with items that are needed to continue a successful program, and are not provided by the school. As many of you see on Hudl, game film is a very vital tool for evaluating our players and preparing for each opponent. The coaching staff has put in a request to the TDC, to purchase 2 new cameras that are HD. The TDC would like to help us with this request, so they came up with a TV raffle, that many of you should of received tickets for. I was advised today that the ticket sales are not going so well, and actually barely covering the cost of the TV. I realize that fundraising wears everyone out, but it is very necessary to be able to give our kids items that will assist them on being successful. If you have not sold your tickets, please do so before friday night and if you need more please contact any TDC officer asap.
