Part 3 I am disappointed at the result but comfortable with my decision. The most important lesson I learned is that I’m not built for the boat ride prior to the swim. I had never had to do that before (and never will again.) I have already inquired and it is possible to stay on Catalina a few days and then meet your boat. If I was to try again that would be the plan. I was excited that at the end of my swim I was able to experience swimming through the phototrophic algae. As you swim sparkles come off your hands that look like 4th of July sparklers. As most of you know, this was a fundraiser for ASRC. My goal was $10,000 in donation which I have fallen short of.Thanks to those that gave! I am going to ask ASRC to keep the swim up on their website for another month for those that would still like to give. “I fall down, I get up again, ain’t nothin gonna keep me down….”
