Part #5 If we werent island hopping we were beach hopping, and our favorite was the Leprosarium, a Roman Catholic Sanctuary for the Vietnamese Lepers. It like everything else was off limits! Beautiful white beaches, and some decent surfs. We always brought trinkets for the children of the Lepers, and several times we helped them bring in their fishing nets. There were 4 trying to get a 5 fish to shore in a net. 2 were missing arms from below the elbow, 2 were missing legs below the knee. They were struggling with this huge fish, so we helped them land the fish. Wow the smiles on their faces were from ear to ear. Oh one was also missing his nose, and had a section of corn cob in the hole where his nose was. Those were some very memorable times, I can still see their smiles.. Oh, there was a storm, with huge surfs, and a Nun told us to get out of the water & leave because of the storm. Of all days we were skinny dipping, she insisted, and as we came out of the water. Well she said we could come back any other time, but that the beach was closed, and acted like she was talking to fully dressed people. We obeyed her wish & left! youtu.be/ZAp6Jx03M-U
