Part 5: On the backside of the church one could distinguish the different floors of the building, like huge steps up a tall pyramid. The first floor was twenty-five feet high, so that the inside of the church had tall ceilings and huge, stained glass windows. I was the one kid in the neighborhood able to climb up to the first level when kids would get their Frisbees, tennis balls, and basketballs stuck up on that roof. Zelda fluttered her wings and hopped onto the huge air conditioning unit. Then she worked her wings again and was able to launch herself over the top of the wall. Again she was trying to claim something that was mine.
