Part of letting go of Problematic Eating FOR GOOD is getting into the body and letting go of the TRANCE with food. Mindful eating is a stepping stone, and when partnered with THINKING transformation, you can heal completely from ANY kind of Problematic Eating! I hope some of these simple steps will help you. Be mindful about the food you are eating and create the space to sit down quietly at an eating period. 2. Create a calm environment at meal times, perhaps using candles, relaxing music, and a clear space to eat. 3. Slow down and savour every bite. It is often helpful to put the fork or spoon down between bites. 4. Chew your food for at least 20 seconds every bite. 5. Try to relax and enjoy the textures, the smells, in the flavours of the food. Notice how the body feels when it is given permission to do so. 6. Celebrate at the end of each eating session that you are in active recovery. 7. Give yourself the time and space to plan, shop, and prepare your food. 8. Breath while you eat and notice your breath. Allow it to become more full and slow the breath down. 9. Use your support network as needed, before, during and /or after eating times. 10. Eat your food on a plate, sitting down. Feel the bottom of your feet firmly on the ground at each eating session. 11. Develop a regular eating routine ( every 3-4 hours to start). Dont add or skip an eating routine emergingjewel
