Part of todays lecture by Gurudev on Ch 9 of the Bhagavad Gita... What is the Fate of a Devotee..of Someone who is immersed in Love and Wisdom.. Sri Krishna says: Ananyas chintayanto mam ye janah paryupaasate, tesham nityabhiyuktanam yogakshemam vahamyaham One who thinks of me, is focused on me and comes near me. To that person whose mind, heart and soul is soaked in the goodness , in the broader aspects of one’s nature, for that person I will take care of them. For the one who comes to me I take care of their needs and also maintain what they have. One who depends on me I will give them what they need… Whomsoever you worship, it comes to me and me alone… Doership I am the Doer and I am the enjoyer. People say God made me do it… If God made you do it then he only takes the punishment also. We act because of a thought in the mind.. Who is responsible for the thoughts… In a prison every culprit says I did not do it, It happened.. Every culprit feels he is a victim of situations and impulses which he could not control. “I didn’t do it.. Someone who does great work.. he says I dint do it, it just happens.. If you think I am the Doer then you are also the enjoyer. If you are not the Doer, then you are not the enjoyer. There is a state when you are just a witness for all that happened , then you are a witness to the consequences of the action also.. Gurudev then spoke on after death journey of the Soul … As the soul releases from the body – The whole life flashes in front of it. And then two questions come up – 1) How much Love was given and 2) How much knowledge gained. Knowledge is not just books it is the alertness, of who you are, what the world is!! How awake you were in your life. Knowledge is not information. It is alertness, awareness. How much time you had that Presence of Mind… and How much time you spent in life expressing the Love that you are!! And then you are guided by the light and meet your loved ones…That’s where you will meet the Guru also.. Guru has access in all the Levels.. that’s why in India they say . “Guru bina Gati nahin…” And here Krishna is Guru of Arjuna says I am with you ..Here and hereafter. Arjuna was always questioning so Krishna tells him Use your intellect, Think about it.. But then in the same breath he says… You will definitely follow whatever I say because you have no choice… Gurudev then narrated an amazing story of a Rickshaw Driver in Delhi in 1980…. One who Yearns for me will attain Me.. One who yearns for the World will attain that....
