Passport : Previously we have a Passport Application and related papers receiving centre in Siliguri. Those who are living in North Bengal as well as Sikkim used to submit their passport related papers to that office and the concern office after scrutinizing those papers send to Kolkata for issuance of Passport. It was really helpful for us. All of a sudden these service was stopped by the then Central Government. Now we have to apply for new passport as well as renewal of passport through net. We have to take a date for interview at Kolkata and have to present physically passport felicitation Centre at Kolkata. Our MP Sri S.S. Ahluwalia has pursued this matter with Foreign Affairs Minister Smt. Sushma Saraj and she assured him that there will be a full-fledged passport office in Siliguri and the people of this locality need not required to present to Kolkata for passport matter and She will personally come to Siliguri for inauguration of this service.
