The official photos from the wedding has been released. The wedding took place at the Deeper Life Bible Church on Saturday June 15th, 2013. Their traditional wedding ceremony held on Friday the 14th of June, 2013. As earlier reported, Love Odih is the daughter of Deeper Life National Overseer in Jamaica. Odih’s father was the ex-Cross Rivers State Overseer before he was transferred to Jamaica. Love Odih & John Kumuyi dated for months before their wedding on Saturday. This celebrity wedding has aroused controversy among concerned Deeper Lifers. According to sources, Deeper Life sisters hardly wear wedding gowns as glamorous as this nor dress up like Odih on their wedding day. The church harangued anyone that contravene this line of sermon in the past. Erring members were either ostracized or excommunicated for such affront. The church never took moderate dressing lying low. They will never wed anyone with such extravagant appearance, not to talk of wearing earrings, eyelashes & make-ups except such wedding was done in other pentecostal churches. Such couples will be punished thereafter! I always know there is a whole lot of hypocrisies in the ministry. So, deeper life also has changed from how we used to know it. Wonders will never end. A lot don’t read and study their Bible and they continue holding on to useless and irrelevant tradition. God is not in any way against earring or jeweleries generally. We like to help God and this is only a sign of pride. Denominational pride I should say. The scripture is there for anyone to study. Pastor Kumuyi once said that if what he tells you is not supported by scripture, drop it. It may be his own opinion concerning the issue. Some Deeperlifers don’t like Kumuyi because he has been correcting things and making sure his members don’t add or subtract from the word of God. Most have become so religious that even when they see the truth , they ignore it and embrace tradition which allow someone to deceive and manipulate people. Of course members’ ignorance is an advantage for the false pastors riding on Kumuyi’s name to bewitch the people and make merchandise of them in the name of ‘I am your leader’ as if a leader cannot make mistake. I am not justifying anything but people should bring sound proofs to support their assertions. Period. I am happy that Pastor Kumuyi witnessed this wedding. I believe most DL members are ignorant of the real stand of the church on these topical issues. Once upon a time there was the general misconception that poverty was some kind of prerequisite to being a DL member. Untrue but DL members never helped in dissuading this notion. Rather all you hear is “in our church we don’t do this…we don’t that”, ask for the premise for that believe and you get nothing in form of good response (no reference to Bible).
