Pastor Rons Daily Devotional: In my Fathers house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? John 14:2 FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION When you travel, it’s comforting to know you have a place to stay at the end of your day. You can have this same comfort for the end of your life’s journey. Not only is there a heaven, but Jesus is making preparations there for your arrival. Heaven is not a paradise you will visit only on vacation. It is an eternal dwelling place where you will live in joyful fellowship with your heavenly Father and your heavenly family. Though death is a great unknown, Jesus Christ has gone before you, and he is preparing a glorious place for you to stay. If you know and love Jesus, you can be confident that your room is ready and waiting. ✞ ✞ ✞ (Henry Ward Beecher) Heaven will be inherited by every man who has heaven in his soul. TODAY’S PLAN: How do you envision the place Jesus is preparing for you in heaven? PRAYER: Gracious Father, you have always provided the things I need to feed my soul. There has never been a time that you have not given me a sanctuary, no matter how humble, a place where you reside and where I am able to find spiritual food. You have strengthened and guided me in this life. I may have felt at time that you were far away, but I know that you have never abandoned me. If you seem far, it is because I have walked away from you. You not only sent your Son, Jesus, to testify to your Truth, but you have sent your Holy Spirit to guide me through the many difficulties and challenges of life. I offer my thanks to you today.
