Pastors Moment: Understand the dream. The Story of Joseph teaches us about the dream in the most graphical and practical way. It provides four stages. 1.SEED STAGE -God sows in you the seed of the dream in the soil of your spirit.God caused Joseph to dream. Crucial lesson at this stage is do not fear, share your plans and where possible implement them. Plant the seed, even if it is uncomfortable for those watching you plant and dream. 2.SEPARATION STAGE - Joseph was separated from his hateful brothers and from his loving father.Please remember that no seed matures in the Nursery (Seed Bed). It has to be removed for planting in the harsh weather and open conditions. If you have a dream you will have to lose your comfort, you will sometimes be ridiculed, insulted, dismissed and even made a subject of ill comedy. You have to be separated from foe and friend 3.SERVANT STAGE-This is the growing stage. At this level, your dream begins taking shape, your business makes a little profit, you are promoted or you get a job. Joseph Servant stage was at Potiphars house. You cannot be entrusted with great things unless you prove faithful in small things. Everything will not be smooth sailing here and whereas a few things you do will be hailed, there will be major hurdles, do not blink, summon your energy and jump over Them. Joseph literally ran from the temptation of Potiphars wife. It was easier to just sleep with her and it would have been a safe secret, he chose to run, an obvious risk and we all know what happened. Choose the path less travelled. The harder choice at this stage will keep your dream on track. 4. PRUNING STAGE - Joseph was falsely accused and he was imprisoned. In this stage you have to be purified through fire, Just like Gold. The stakes are high. The heat is also high. Most people give up at this point. Nothing seems to go your way. You have done everything right, why should you be put in Prison. As the Nairobi girl would put it, really?? However, Remember even the best fruit tree must be pruned so as to bring forth the best fruit. 5.SUCCESS /BLOSSOM STAGE-This is the stage where your dreams becomes a reality.Joseph was promoted from the prison to power and glory. Joseph began to feed others just as he previously dreamt.He became fruitful and others ate his fruit. At what stage is your dream? Joseph dreams of greatness took a whole 13 years, but they came true, do not give up.
