Paul Cox: The Mighty Ones Are Coming Zedekiah List has commented on many items which have appeared on the Elijah List which is a list which displays words from dominionists especially New Apostolic Reformation prophets and prophetesses. No-one at the Elijah List appears to have any discernment as to whether the words given are scriptural or not. Here is a comment about working at the Elijah List made by Kevin Kleint: A lot of people will say that those teachings and revelations are packed with the Word of God, and I will say that absolutely some (but very few) are. However the majority of this stuff uses the Word of God as a loose outline, filling in the blanks with things that, at times, look very much like New Age teaching, Buddhist doctrine, or even some Haight-Ashberry styled hippie acid-trip revelation. And: I was really amazed at how idolized these prophets were in the eyes of the conference go-ers. They sat, literally, wide-eyed drinking in every word like it was the Absolute Truth. Even people who worked for the Elijah List were treated with some degree of idolatry. People came up to us and shook our hand saying things like, Oh youre so lucky to be able to work in that anointed atmosphere all the time! Dr. Paul L. Cox is one of these who puts up words on occasion. His latest offering, dated 26th May 2011 is found on the Elijah List at this link. He is a dominionist and as his post demonstrates he is smack bang in the middle of dominionism. The title alone demonstrates that he is Latter Rain adherent and he even quotes the Joel passage from which Joels Army is derived. Latter Rain theology coalesces the two armies of Joel chapter 2 into one. Firstly, there is a fierce and disciplined army before whom the earth shakes, the sky trembles, the sun and moon are darkened, and the stars no longer shine. Joel 2 v10 and then there is secondly, The Lord thunders at the head of his army; his forces are beyond number. Joel 2 v11. These verses can be compared with verses in Revelation, firstly: They are spirits of demons performing miraculous signs, and they go out to the Kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great Day of the God Almighty. Revelation 16 v14; and secondly: I saw heaven open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he makes war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no-one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Revelation 19 vv11-14. The description of the first army in Joel does not match the description of the second army of Revelation which is clearly Gods Army. However it does match the first. This first army is demonically led, performing miracles and signs and wonders whilst the Army of God Almighty is described by its purity - the garments demonstrating the righteousness of each member of that army. Now here is the problem: Which army do you wish to belong to? And which army does Paul Cox subscribe to? Paul Cox then quotes further: Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare for war! Rouse the warriors! Let all the fighting men draw near and attack. Beat your ploughshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weakling say, I am strong! Come quickly, all you nations from every side, and assemble there. Bring down your warriors O Lord! Joel 3 vv9-14. Paul Cox like all Latter Rain adherents would stop there and say Case proved. But the next verse says: Let the nations be roused; let them advance into the Valley of Jehoshaphat, for there I will sit to judge all the nations on every side. Joel 3 v12. So what Paul Cox sees as Gods Army are the armies of the world, this terrible army of Joel chapter 2 being brought down into the Valley of Jehoshaphat, where it will be judged! Is Paul Cox and every Dominionist seriously suggesting that we should be part of a demonically controlled army? If so, then its demise is also written: Swing the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, trample the grapes for the winepress is full and the vats overflow-so great is their wickedness! Multitudes, multitudes into the valley of decision. The sun and moon will be darkened and the stars no longer shine. Joel 3 vv12-15. Far from being in the Lords army, these people are being judged by the Lord! Yet Dominionists insist that Joels Army is Gods army and even claim miracles and signs and wonders, which are attributable in the Bible to Joel Army but not to the Lords Army. Paul Cox begins his post by saying : I am often riveted by what I see in The Chronicles of Narnia movie series! Many of the scenes in these films mirror what the Lord has revealed to us about the spiritual world. So he is saying that The Chronicles of Narnia by C S Lewis are as inspired as scripture! Continuing: I was especially struck by a scene in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. At the end of the story, Lucy has gone to find Aslan (the Turkish name for a lion) to help in the seemingly hopeless battle that was taking place against the enemies of Narnia. In a calm manner, Aslan says it is time to Wake up your old friends, the trees. I was stunned, for this is exactly what the Lord had shown us some time earlier about spiritual beings that look like trees, specifically cedar trees. These entities are called the Mighty Ones, and it appears that they are now being released on the earth. Wow! so thats where he gets his Mighty Ones from! Finally a prophecy from Paul Cox, or should one say, word from the Lord? The Lord has woken up the Mighty Ones. The nature of spiritual warfare is changing and we must be prepared to battle in new ways. Dominionists are all constantly saying something similar as if once it is said enough times then the Lord will respond. Alternatively one day it will happen and he who was closest datewise will win! The nature of spiritual warfare has not changed and will never change. These dominionists have changed it into something which is totally unscriptural. Where in the Bible do you find: prayer walks, generational curses, territorial demons, staking the land and much much more? Answer: You dont because none of them are there! Wake up you people or you may find one day that you are marching into the Valley of Jehoshphat! Too late!
