Pawan Sandhu Says Hi, My name is Pawan. English is not my first language but still want to share my feeling with you guys. I hope you understand my writing. I am from Canada. Im a landed Immigrant in Canada since 2010. I have a son, named Tahir. He is 2.5 years old. He diagnosis with Autism last week( Step 4th). He started everything in early age, he used to talk. but last year I went back home cause for some family emergency. He stayed there with his dad and grandparents. I was away for 4 weeks and he was 16 months old by that time. When I came back, he was trying to ignore me. I wait and wait for months to adjust with me and feel comfortable with me. I dont know what happen but he was totally speechless. Means he wasnt my son like before. I wait to hear MUMMY, but no, no any single word. Then I start worried. Made an appointment with family Dr. and Pediatrician. They suggest me to do Autism assessment. I said what is this mean? since last year, am struggling to make best efforts for him, on the other hand if you dont have any family support then you have to be more strong. My husband and in-laws are blaming on me, when I left then he stooped. they are not trying to understand this cause or disorder. it is not mu fault. Since February, I am talking him to OT and SP. He is mild disorder. Jus started his pre- school with help of support worker. I hope hell get better now. He has a little improvement. It is more difficult if there is no family support. Im talking care of him and trying to be strong mom to help my Son out.
