Pay Revision Report deliberated The House deliberated on the pay revision report. Deliberating on the salary revision for the Prime Minister, Cabinet Ministers and equivalent ranks, the Finance Minister informed that the revision was based on the resolution of the 6th Session of the 1st Parliament. The House resolved on the pay scale of the above mentioned positions as per the pay revision report. The House subsequently deliberated on the pay revision for the civil servants, members of the Local Government and non-civil servants. During the deliberation, the Members expressed that it was imperative for the pay scale for the lowest cadre in the civil service to be reconsidered and the House resolved accordingly. The House also resolved on allowances and retirement benefits as per the pay revision report with few recommendations like the need to provide professional allowance to the HR auditors under the Royal Civil Service Commission. Further, the House resolved that the tax free vehicle quota for public servants should be reviewed by the government and present to the winter session of Parliament. Appropriate changes to the entitlements of Members of Parliament will also be made during the deliberation on the Parliamentary Entitlement (Amendment) Bill 2014.
