Payload Engineer: Details: Scitor Corporation has a new opportunity for a spacecraft Payload Engineer in Chantilly, Virginia, to work supporting a Government program office. The successful applicant will work to provide programmatic and technical solutions to a variety of innovative and technically challenging classified work. Qualified candidates must possess TS/SCI security clearance with a poly. Key duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Serves as technical expert for multi-payload digital receiver processors: • Supports end-to-end RF payload development with experience in the maintenance and verification of segment-level payload requirements and evaluation of specifications, Concepts of Operations development, verification plans, procedures and results, test data, and qualification and acceptance test plans and results. • Applies knowledge of hardware and software to the receiver development including ASIC and FPGAs, memory, data busses, analog-to-digital converters, and processing algorithms. Considers Size, Weight, and Power; thermal analysis; mechanical analysis; shock and vibration; EMI/EMC; manufacturability/producibility; reliability; Parts, Materials, and Processes; and radiation effects. • Oversees payload design updates with an understanding of all performance and spacecraft impacts due to these updates. • Applies program management knowledge to achieve technical performance within cost and schedule constraints. Identifies risks to program plans, develops corrective action plans, conducts ECP reviews and technical evaluations, cost and schedule evaluations, and proposal evaluations. • Supports payload modification and modernization investigations and trade studies, assessing proposed payload designs and evaluation of alternatives to support on-contract development, technology insertion candidates, and future generation payload initiatives. dlvr.it/6v5qpV
