Peace be upon all. What must a submitter (muslim in Arabic) do in order to understand the Quran? 1) He/she must be sincere [56:79]None can grasp it except the sincere.* **56:79 The insincere who are not satisfied with the Quran alone are divinely prevented from understanding the Quran. This concept is repeated throughout the Quran (17:45, 18:57). Consequently, they cannot understand this verse. 2) He/she must kill his/her ego [2:54]Recall that Moses said to his people, O my people, you have wronged your souls by worshiping the calf. You must repent to your Creator. You shall kill your egos. This is better for you in the sight of your Creator. He did redeem you. He is the Redeemer, Most Merciful. 3) Uphold the Quran as the only source of religious guidance [39:23]GOD has revealed herein the best Hadith; a book that is consistent, and points out both ways (to Heaven and Hell). The skins of those who reverence their Lord cringe therefrom, then their skins and their hearts soften up for GODs message. Such is GODs guidance; He bestows it upon whomever He wills. As for those sent astray by GOD, nothing can guide them. 4) Do not ask about matters that are not yet revealed by GOD for our time. [5:101]O you who believe, do not ask about matters which, if revealed to you prematurely, would hurt you. If you ask about them in light of the Quran, they will become obvious to you. GOD has deliberately overlooked them. GOD is Forgiver, Clement. 5) Most important obey GOD and obey His messenger [3:32]Proclaim: You shall obey GOD and the messenger. If they turn away, GOD does not love the disbelievers. [3:132]You shall obey GOD and the messenger, that you may attain mercy. [4:13]These are GODs laws. Those who obey GOD and His messenger, He will admit them into gardens with flowing streams, wherein they abide forever. This is the greatest triumph. [4:59]O you who believe, you shall obey GOD, and you shall obey the messenger, and those in charge among you. If you dispute in any matter, you shall refer it to GOD and the messenger, if you do believe in GOD and the Last Day. This is better for you, and provides you with the best solution. [4:69]Those who obey GOD and the messenger belong with those blessed by GOD-the prophets, the saints, the martyrs, and the righteous. These are the best company. [5:92]You shall obey GOD, and you shall obey the messenger, and beware. If you turn away, then know that the sole duty of our messenger is to deliver the message efficiently. [8:20]O you who believe, obey GOD and His messenger, and do not disregard him while you hear. [8:46]You shall obey GOD and His messenger, and do not dispute among yourselves, lest you fail and scatter your strength. You shall steadfastly persevere. GOD is with those who steadfastly persevere. [9:71]The believing men and women are allies of one another. They advocate righteousness and forbid evil, they observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) and give the obligatory charity (Zakat), and they obey GOD and His messenger. These will be showered by GODs mercy. GOD is Almighty, Most Wise. [24:52]Those who obey GOD and His messenger, and reverence GOD and observe Him, these are the triumphant ones. [24:54]Say, Obey GOD, and obey the messenger. If they refuse, then he is responsible for his obligations, and you are responsible for your obligations. If you obey him, you will be guided. The sole duty of the messenger is to deliver (the message). [33:71]He will then fix your works, and forgive your sins. Those who obey GOD and His messenger have triumphed a great triumph. [47:33]O you who believe, you shall obey GOD, and obey the messenger. Otherwise, all your works will be in vain. [48:17]The blind is not to be blamed, the crippled is not to be blamed, and the sick is not to be blamed. Those who obey GOD and His messenger, He will admit them into gardens with flowing streams. As for those who turn away, He will requite them with a painful retribution. [49:14]The Arabs said, We are Mumens (believers). Say, You have not believed; what you should say is, We are Muslims (submitters), until belief is established in your hearts. If you obey GOD and His messenger, He will not put any of your works to waste. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful. [64:12]You shall obey GOD and you shall obey the messenger. If you turn away, then the sole mission of our messenger is to deliver the message. [72:23]I deliver GODs proclamations and messages. Those who disobey GOD and His messenger incur the fire of Hell, wherein they abide forever.
