(sources: cyrileluma.wordpress) Palestinians’ failure to recognise Israel as the Jewish State of Israel may have pushed Benjamin Netanyahu to issue housing tender today, being Friday, 10th January, 2014. However, if Palestinians recognise Israel as the Jewish State of Israel then there will be focus on this peace talk, as Israel’s core demand from Palestinians’ recognition of Israel has been complied with and any other issue or issues will be settled in the course of negotiation. Thus, the idea of ‘Two State Solution’ is anchored on two state for two people and not two state for one people or what I may called ‘refusal of recognition based on deceptive move on the side of Palestinians’, principally built on the idea of ‘Right of Return’. One must not fail to recognise another when another is ready to recognise the other. Israel now known as Jewish State of Israel is ready to recognise Palestinian State; but the question then is whether Palestinians are ready to recognise Israel as a Jewish State? This mutual recognition will determine the framework of the current peace talk. Compromise is a game of give and take, therefore, concession(s) must come from both parties: Palestinians and Israelis; hence love and peaceful co-existence radiates around mutual understanding. When the victim becomes the aggressor; and the supposed aggressor becomes the victim, who then will be blamed? Two wrongs can never make a right, compromise is needed.
