Pennsylvania: Pro-Gun Candidate Defeats Anti-Gun Mayor of Chambersburg After a highly contested mayoral race, pro-gun candidate Darren Brown defeated anti-gun incumbent Mayor Pete Lagiovane yesterday. The defeat of anti-gun extremist Pete Lagiovane marks a huge victory for Second Amendment supporters and sportsmen in Chambersburg. As mayor, Peter Lagiovane proudly joined an anti-gun extremist group, “Mayors Against Illegal Guns” (MAIG), led and funded by radical anti-gun New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. MAIG promotes gun bans and increased restrictions on law-abiding gun owners on the local, state and federal level. However, residents of Chambersburg can now be thankful that their Second Amendment rights now will be protected since they no longer have a Mayor who will work with Michael Bloomberg to implement his anti-gun agenda. Mayor-elect Darren Brown stated “the very very first thing Id like to do is get Chambersburg off the Mayors Against Illegal Guns list.” The NRA appreciates Darren Brown’s commitment to advancing and protecting the Second Amendment rights of responsible gun owners, and is thankful for all NRA members and supporters in Chambersburg who went to the polls yesterday to vote for the only pro-gun candidate in this race.
