People We Lost in Sports (2014): The sports world never stops, - TopicsExpress

People We Lost in Sports (2014): The sports world never stops, but the end of the year is an occasion to pause and think about the highs and the lows of 2014, from Februarys Super Bowl and Winter Olympics to the World Cup, the Fall Classic, and all the drama on and off the field during the past 12 months. As new heroes ascended and goats fell, we also marked the passing of memorable athletes, broadcasters, coaches and executives. In recognition of their contributions to the history of sport and their places in the lives of teammates and fans, Bleacher Report is taking this opportunity to remember the people we lost in sports in 2014. Our video, above, could never be complete, but we did our best to recognize the most significant members of the national and international sporting scenes. Some of them will live forever in the lore and legends of sport. Others are immortalized in record books, biographies and movies. And some simply left us too soon. Take a moment to remember them with us, and share your thoughts in the comments below.
