People are important to you and me, simply because there is nothing you and I can obtain, achieve, acquire or come into possession of, without the involvement of some people or person in the process towards that acquisition. For that reason, if for no other, people deserve respect, consideration and empathy. If I cannot give them that, I am certainly less than what I should be, as a human being. Therefore, spilling excreta in public places shows no regard to the feelings of others. Likewise, using foul language in the presence of others or in public tells us who you really are. I do not know if all of us realize that Facebook is as good a public place as any other out there. Using foul language on Facebook has the same effect as using it public. Since I have a choice as to whether I want the company of people who use language that way, I should move myself away from them. To that end, I am taking stock of the situation the whole day today to give myself the time to unfriend and block such FB friends and open the space for those who make me feel comfortable. After all I joined FB for the dual reason of learning and teaching not to be abused or abuse others..
