People argue about a lot of things in the religious world. Without going into the specifics of those arguments, I just want to make a general comment. What I see and Im asking you, if you see this... what I see is that people divide and argue about how to practice their religious faith. To write them all down would be a thick book or volume of books. The Catholics point to the protestants and say.. look they cant get along,We are better off where we are. It seems to me that we have a big task no matter what you are, Catholic, or protestant... to seek out God. To ask God for help to change us. We are all proud, we are all sinners. We are all fearful. We hang onto something we are taught from childhood sometimes, and defend it no matter what. There is a great deal of pride and hard headed stiff neck attitudes in religion no matter the brand. Why do we get angry when discussing various things? I think about things like that. I see a lot of pride in people, and know it all attitudes. I see a lot of looking down at the world and making all kinds of statements to re-affirm we are not like them You know folks, we are all sinners, and no dont just say that like you quoted the bible right and retain your self righteous attitude.. almost breaking your arm secretly patting yourself on the back that you are not really like them. People say things just to sound humble out of pride as well.. NO I mean we are really ALL sinners.. Im a sinner and have fallen way short of God.. I mean come on.. we are talking about God here.. of course I have fallen way short of God, and so have you.. Sowe ALL have this in COMMON... We all share this.. Only God can help us.. We only get the help we need when we sincerely ask God for it. let us ask God to remove our sins, our pride and all the junk that blocks us from the love of the Father, and let us be used by God for His Glory. God can accomplish so much through us if we will truly surrender.. Surrender it all.. and let him build our character.
