Perhaps one of the most disturbing things about this NBA racism thing is that everyone is outraged based on the wrong premise - a collectivist premise, where black people as a whole or society as a whole should be outraged. No, you should not be outraged as a whole. I personally am not at all outraged. My reaction to the whole thing was: oh, another mindless idiot. See, the problem with racism is that it denies on a fundamental irrational deterministic basis the fundamental metaphysical essence of mans nature - his mind, his free will, his individuality. A person who denies those things is not a real person, because those things are not to be denied and what he does through his actions are merely to deny his own mind and his own individuality. The views of racists do not reflect upon me. If they happen to threaten my friends or the people I value, then I have cause to act and to rebel and to be outraged. But this whole... feeling outrage as a people... does very little to combat racism as a whole. The surest way to fight racism is to name what it is - the denial of mans mind. And you fight it by asserting your own mind.
