Person Shot and Residential Robbery INDIANAPOLIS – This morning, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officers were dispatched to 830 East 79th Street on the report of a person shot and a residential robbery. When officers arrived they spoke with a male victim who stated four or five men entered his home as he, his wife and daughter slept. The men demanded money and during the robbery forced the two women to drive them to an ATM and withdraw money. During this incident one female victim was shot once in the leg and once in the foot. Another female inside the house was also assaulted. Both were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Detectives are working with the victims to get good suspect descriptions. The IMPD is asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers of Indiana at 317-262-TIPS (8477). Callers can also text “INDYCS” plus tip information to 274627(CRIMES). Citizens are reminded to call police anytime they see suspicious or criminal behavior. No matter how minor the behavior may seem, call the police; it could help prevent or solve a crime. -30- Christopher L.
