Personal Observation As Oyo State Football Stake Holder: Ki oluwa ma fi nkan gba kan lowo wa. Last season one of the most successful club in the history of the League, Shooting Stars got Demoted to the second division but Oyo state was brave to produce another top flight team, Crown FC got Promoted. Congratulations! It is painful as I write this note, but we have to accept the fact that such trend will repeat itself this season, Crown FC will get Demoted while Shooting Stars will secure Promotion to the NPFL. Story for the gods! It is a mixing feeling for me because in my state they hate the truth but associate with those that deceive them. Some section like me for my open criticism while some just hate to see my face around the state. They were always bitter over my open criticism, sent fans to harrassed me, even section of the clubs officials have treaten so many things but that will not stop me from talking. I love Shooting Stars, I love Crown FC more than those earning a living at the system now, it is left to be seen when some of them get sacked. Then, we shall recognise those that love the teams. Noah was a great example when he was relieved as the club chairman, he was a true sports man. Many things went wrong in the process of Crown FC relegation, just like last season when we had all factions gang up to ruined the Ex Commissioner (Dapo Lam) effort to rebrand the state sports, not knowing its the club that will suffer from the devilish move. I am not a politician, I will never joined the wagon to criticise the current Sports Commissioner (Farouq Alao), I want to believe he has given the clubs all they needed to achieve success this season. I wont go so low like some person to start accusing a politician that is on interim appointment but I will rather fight those that claimed to be football state holder in the state. The club sponsor (Oyo state government) should have a large share of the blames, why disband the Board led by Bello Noah? The beginning of Crown FC downfall to relegation. I fault the appointment of Olayinka as General manager and Tony Rafua as COO, I will never agree to such combination to lead the team and I expressed my opinion. Now, we are 1000 steps backward with them. They failed to manage the affairs of the clubs, players were owed salaries and bonuses. The players played games with hunger. The only mistake made by Noah led board was the appointment of outdated coach, Lawrence Akpokona. The club at that moment dont need Akpokona who has failed in beautiful colours, he is now back home. Although, I accepted the club needed a technical help at that moment, but Akpokona was a wrong choice. The recruitment was rough, Crown had many players at Ijebu Ode camping. Below average players were signed on, the club recruited many times during the season, sacking and signing more to compound the club problems. Now the ship is down and we need to start planning for the future, first the Governor should relieve some officials off the club and bring in professionals with same mindset for success to work with the reappointed board members led by Bello Noah. Hakeem Busari should be given a contract extension to work with Coach Dan. Shop for quality and determined players. I wont blame the players even though they were not committed to service, the team spirit was killed when the players were not paid. At some moment of the season instead for the club officials to build a good relationship with the players, they kept on to fight them. Play football without Food?? While some person are buying new car? Noah led board are not happy with the players, its expected because the man did his best to motivate the players but the players couldnt get the spirit back on track. Lastly, Mr Governor if you win next year election, please Ogbomosho township stadium needs a total renovation.
