LAWLESS PDP AGAIN INSTIGATES LAWLESSNESS IN ANAMBRA STATE. The national body of the ruling peoples democratic party through the national secretary have mandated her candidates in Anambra state whose names did not appear in INECS list to proceed with their campaigns in defiance to the orders of His Excellency Chief Willie Obiano and the enabling law invoke in Anambra state. According to the PDPs national secretary prof. Olawale Oladipo, its attention has been drawn to a law recently passed by the Anambra state house of assembly banning people who had been screened out by INEC from campaigning. It is clear that his law is targeted at the members of our great party who have challenged the list of candidates published by INEC in courts of competent jurisdiction. It would be recalled that in accordance with the constitution of our country and the extant electoral law,our great party conducted primary election for the selection of candidates to represent the party during the elections, the statement read. INEC published a different list of candidates in respect to a court order, that order has been appealed against, PDP noted. Recall that double candidacy has been the strategy behind PDPS winning-streak in Anambra elections, the people voted in 2011 even without knowing the person they were voting for and four years after, the issue still lingers. Anambra state house of assembly in an attempt to checkmate this gimmick and avoid a breakdown of law &order recently passed a law banning anybody who was screened out by INEC in Anambra state, Anambra governor had earlier threatened to arrest any candidate who campaigns without his or her name being on the INEC list.Is PDP insinuating that lawlessness should be the norm?
