Peshawar: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan visited Peshawar on Friday and spent a busy schedule. During his visit Imran Khan met the government machinery, elected representatives of PTI and allied parties. He also addressed the party workers of PTI. In his addressing to the party workers Khan said that he was grateful to the people of the province in general and the people of Peshawar in particular for their trust they reposed in this and his party in the last general elections, and expressed the hope that they would support PTI in the upcoming bi-elections the way they have done in the last general elections. He stressed upon the party workers specially the young lot and women folk to show the zeal and zest as they have showed in the general elections and work hard to get the party candidates elected in the bi-elections. Addressing the elected representatives of PTI and the allied parties Khan said that a new local government system was going to be introduced in the province in the near future, adding that the new system will empower the public at gross root level, and it would solve the problems of the people at their door step; and they would not need to visit the public offices and elected representatives to get their problems solved. Imran Khan said that PTI and its allied parties would work together with a focused approach to implement the change agenda in the province. We will set an example of good governance and corruption free system in the province and a ruthless accountability will be carried out across the board; continued Imran Khan adding that postings an transfers of government employees will only be made on the basis of their performance, and the elected representatives will have no hands in this matter. Earlier addressing a meeting of the administrative heads of provincial departments and the high ups of police, Imran Khan said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would be made a modal in terms of good governance with the team work of the government machinery and elected leadership adding that this team has the ability and capacity to bring about positive changes and replace the existing system with a new one as promised to the public in the general elections. He expressed the hope that positive change in the province would soon be noticed. Imran Khan said that though the team of PTI is new one but it has the utmost commitment and resovle to deliver. He stressed the need to have a national policy against terrorism and militancy. Chief minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pervez Khattak, Senior Provincial Minister, Sirajul Haq and Sikandar Sherpao, other members of provincial cabinet, chief secretary Arbab Mohammad Shehzad and Inspector General Police, Ehsan Ghani were also present on the occasion. source # insaf.pk
