PetConnect.Us with Central Cali Pitbullrescue and 21 others 11/29/13 - UPDATE: SABLE left the vet today. She is boarding at a home. She didnt arrive until this evening so I will have more info tomorrow. I was told she is super sweet, greeted the other dogs (in kennels) with her tail wagging and doing a play bow, and, despite the e-collar/cone on her head she was happy and inquisitive. Sable still needs a home of her own. Please let me know if you would like to welcome this sweet companion to your family! SABLE IS SOFT AND SWEET AND ALL SHE WANTS IS LOVE. When you enter her kennel she rubs up against your legs begging for the affection that shes been missing. She was brought to General Dog & Cat Hospital (by San Bernardino City Shelter) for a uterine prolapse. She needs surgery ASAP. The shelter will not take her back…her hold is up and the vet has been given the OK to kill her - but they are asking for help for Sable. Shes that sweet and special. Sable was introduced to an employees cat and she was fine. When her kennel is cleaned they let her wander around. She pretty much ignores the other dogs…though she does sometimes go up to their kennels to sniff. There have been NO signs of aggression. The vet says she has no behavior problems and they are begging me to save her. I cant take her right now. I just rescued a dog in this condition last Thursday and then pulled a parvo dog on Saturday. Im tapped out. The surgery for the prolapse includes spay and is about $300 (with vaccinations including rabies, microchip, antibiotics, pain meds and an e-collar/cone it came to $400). Im sure we can raise the money to pay for Sables surgery. What we need is someone to save our very special Sable. THIS IS EXTREMELY URGENT - SHE HAS TO HAVE A COMMITMENT BY TOMORROW, Wed., 11/20. Lets give Sable a happy Thanksgiving at home! If you are interested in adopting or rescuing Sable please comment on the thread or contact me by PM or email ([email protected]). NOTE: I am not a rescuer, I dont pull animals from shelters. My role is to spread the word about animals in danger. I dont coordinate rescues. I dont arrange transport, but if I have contacts I will help. I dont collect pledges or PM the people who pledged. The person or rescue who saved the animal is responsible for collecting the pledges. I will post a paypal address or donation information if provided. Pledges are generally for a 501c3 rescue group - though the person who pledged has the discretion to donate to a private adopter or independent rescuer.
