Peter and I want to thank everyone for all the many well-wishes for our 6 year Anniversary. Weve covered a lot of territory in these last 6 years (living in two Provinces of Thailand, going back and forth to Spain where my husband had lived for 20 years after taking an early retirement with his first wife (before her death), etc, but we are both so very grateful to be making our home (selling out in Spain and feeling some serious roots in the tropics of Thailand.... especially here in Chiang Mai). Ive never felt so at home in my life.....love my husband, feel loved and supported by him, growing closer with each year that passes, experiencing Gods blessings on us and our marital union in so many different ways; just simply enjoying what we have while our eyes and hearts are continually being opened wider to those in such great need. Nothing is taken for granted..... its my sincere desire to be of maximum service to my fellowman/woman/child/animal throughout the world. No one person can carry the weight of the world on their shoulders, which is why Im so very grateful to have had the blessing of taking some important time to get my priorities in proper perspective; to gain greater understanding on just how much I can and cant do, while being ok with knowing I can at least do my part, though that seems so little in comparison to the great needs that prevail. Its such a honor and blessing to be a part of the animal activists community as I honestly think you are some of the kindest, most sensitive/loving people in the world. I never realized there were so many like-minded individuals until I joined up with you one by one on FB. You work so hard to bring greater awareness and make changes in the laws of different countries for our furry (and not so furry) friends. Youre not looking for any reward....only the pleasure of seeing a precious homeless/abandoned animal get a new/warm/wonderful/loving home, or one of our wildlife sweeties getting a fresh start of love and freedom after years and years of being beaten into submission and living lives of horror for the sake of our entertainment (in circuses, zoos, etc) and to line the pockets of their owners. Yes there are so many who are still tremendously unaware of the horrible plight of elephants, tigers, monkeys, etc. while away from the eye of the public. There is much greed and evil in the world, but thank God there is a lot of love and goodness here too.....and YOU, my dear fellow animal lovers make up a major part of whats right and good in the world. Thank you for being a part of my life, for your example, for your encouragement. Always know youre loved and appreciated.....and PLEASE take some time for yourselves; youre worth it and YOU DESERVE IT!!!!!! DONT FEEL GUILTY ABOUT IT!!!! I love you dearly. There are others who are making a difference right where you are in a variety of other ways, and I want to say how honored I am to know, love, and be loved by you too. None of us can do everything, but we can all do something. Thank you for doing your something, for making a difference in this world, and for letting me call you friend. May all beings of the world be well, may all beings of the world be happy, may all beings of the world be at peace, may all beings of the world feel very much loved.
